The announcement had sent waves of excitement through the school and students, it had been two years since the last one so people had lost hope that the tournament would be returning to the school even though it was a tradition. It was almost certain considering the danger it presented many hoped they would not have it again and let it fade into history, if they didn’t it would definitely free up some space in the Mental Ward at St. Mungo’s. Though when had Hogwarts ever been concerned with the goings on of St. Mungo’s? Never, and it was highly unlikely they ever would be. Even though there had been some controversy over it due to the dangerous nature of the tournament the heads of the school would not be swayed from their determination to make this event happen, it was a critical part of the school and always would be. It was a school tradition; nothing was going to make the current administration not do it, least of all naysayers. The Participants, as well as their parents, knew the danger they were facing in this tournament and willingly consented to it. No one was ever forced to take part in the event; it was considered an honor to take part in it so naturally there were always plenty of volunteers.

You had to be reckless and not have any sense of self preservation to enter this tournament (or so most people thought), many a participants had been driven to madness and never recovered from it. In fact the last champion Clover Ravenbrook hadn’t been seen since graduation, which was par the course for the other participants. To be honest at least she had made it to graduation, some of the others had just vanished after the year was over and hadn’t been heard from again but surely nothing sinister had happened to them. Many people wondered why someone would want to subject themselves to something traumatic and potentially mutilating. Perhaps they didn’t know or understand how this tournament worked when it came time, or perhaps they themselves were simply out of their minds. Whatever the reason was people entered and participate, it made for a glorious event and much amusement for spectators and judges alike. Of course maybe amusement wasn’t the best term, maybe it just depended on how mad you were at the end of the day.

Earlier this afternoon Headmaster Emile Rousseau had summoned all the participants after lunch for pumpkin juice and biscuits under the pretext of discussing the coming tournament, however the devious man had actually slipped sleeping potion in both the biscuits and juice. The participants all filed into his office dutifully like the good little ducks they were, sitting down they took the snack he offered not once considering that it was a trick. Besides what kind of horrible professor would trick such sweet and innocent childern? Emile chuckled to himself as they all drifted to sleep; it was a trick he had used last time to get the participants to the arena. None of them had been in the last one and none of the participants of the last one were still in school so the new ones had no warning about his trick. Of course he didn’t feel bad about it; it was tradition and one of the only things he could do to repay the students for the headaches they frequently gave him. So perhaps he was just a bit sadistic when it came down to it, or perhaps it was just simply the nature of the game from now on. Certainly no one would be coddling the participants during this and much worse was guaranteed to happen to them, so if they couldn’t handle a simple trick and sleeping potion then they should reconsider taking part in this event.

As the participants woke up they would probably be a little confused finding themselves sprawled out in the tournament area as opposed to Emile’s office not to mention they probably had a bit of a headache. They could see the faces of the fans, friends, family, school, and loved ones watching them from the stands. However, soon they were shrouded in mist and faded from sight. The area quickly drew dark and a forest began to appear around the participant, the moon hidden mostly behind the clouds just the barest of bare from being full. Were you in the Forbidden Forest? Unfortunately only time would tell. If you were then it certainly couldn’t mean anything good at all, as it was still dangerous and brimming with horrible creatures who would eat you without a second thought. You should probably hope you were in a different forest; then again that didn’t mean it would actually be better than the Forbidden Forest, so perhaps you didn’t need to hope quite so much as with the Forbidden Forest you knew what dangers awaited you whereas this one was a mystery. Seeing a flash of white off to your left you can’t help but be curious, what else could possibly be here in the forest with you? Are you brave enough to find out?

You can’t go forward by staying where you are so you must work to complete the task so you can get out of here. It was entirely too late to try and quit now, you had committed to this. Not to mention the fact they probably wouldn’t let you pull out at this point, you’d decided you wanted this fate. Besides, it would be dreadfully embarrassing if you quit now before it even really started and it would certainly only make you the mockery of the school if you did quit. Looks like you didn’t have a choice did you? Off to the left where you saw the blur is thick with underbrush and briars certain to stick you, and off to the right the trees are so thick it will be difficult to get through. If the participants turn around they will see nothing but pure darkness, and if they walked that way they’d soon hit an invisible barrier. Looks like forwards was the only way to go for the chosen participants, though one couldn’t be sure of what lie ahead of them.

Nana Weisman… The shy student and most likely the one that hates adventure among Ravenclaw has signed up for Eternal House Championship. Yes, this is her decision after long thought. Though, many people will always wonder why she chose this path. No one knows. Nana knew that this championship is dangerous yet she still want to participate in this. She made up her mind to fight against her autophobia and gather the courage to live in the future. A few days ago, the participant for pre-task has been announced and Nana (as usual) shocked that she actually got chosen as one of the participant. No kidding, she knows there someone that better and brave more than her. She have mixed feeling about this. Happy because she can prove to everyone that she good enough to do something like this and she terrified about the fact that she might end up at St. Mungo if she’s not be careful. After all, Nana knows that she can’t turn back after going this far.

Professor Rousseau has invited all participants to discuss about the tournament. Nana can’t hide the uneasy feeling she had, yet she tried to smile all the time hoping someone not noticing her behavior. To be honest, she even cried last night. She don’t know what happen to the meeting because as far as she remember, she was eating biscuits and drinking pumpkin juice to make her relax a little bit. After that… she had no clue…

She heard a cheering? Is this a dream? Nana slowly opened her eyes. ‘Oh no…’ she tried not to freaking out and blinks her eyes twice, hoping that this is not true. She had a headache for a moment before she realized where she is, still hoping that is just her dream. She looked around and she can see the crowd cheering, maybe for her? She doesn’t know. Before she knows it, she was surrounded by the darkness. The forest began to appear. Nana was panic! She can’t even think straight. She tried to think something and finally she took out her wand and look around hoping she will see someone, perhaps the other participant?. ‘Oh, I hope Lindi or Sophia will be here….’ She thought. Without warning, the tears fall down her face.

She took a step forward with a full caution. ‘Is this Forbidden Forest?’ Nana kept thinking about what she heard about Forbidden Forest. Of course, she never has been into the Forbidden Forest. Also, never occurred to her mind to enter any forest. “Oh yes…” she said. “Lumos Maxima!” The lights come from the tip of her wand. At least it will help her to walk through the gloomy and dark forest. The forest is scary enough for Nana to make sure she look around and move forward step by step slowly. Her heart beating fast. “Oh… please~ Please~ I need to be safe.” She said, the face of her parents come to her mind. She continues to walk with her miserable feeling about what will be waiting for her…

The trickery the participants faced seemed to cause a serious discord, what had they been expecting when they signed up for this challenge? A walk on the lawns was definitely not it, and to be fair a walk in the Forbbidden Forest would’ve been much more pleasant when it came down to it to be honest. Upon awakening you could almost sense the optimism of the participants dying, it was almost invigorating. Although perhaps it would give them the proper motivation to push on and make the most of this challenge, or if they were unlucky it would shut them down. If it did it would be most unfortunate because they hadn’t even been truly pushed anywhere near their limits yet, though all in good time.

Tears falling already did not bode well for Nana’s chances in this tournament, you couldn’t break already when it hadn’t even begun yet. Although it seemed like the forest almost seemed to relish in her sadness and fear, a ghostly whisper came across the breeze before quickly fading and leaving you to wonder if it had truly ever been there or not. As for hoping for her house companions that was truly a foolish notion, she had been selected to do this and now she would be standing alone on her own two feet whether she actually liked it or not. Had she not realized she was on her own when she signed up? Oh there would be no hand holding or coddling in this, if Nana had wanted that then maybe she should’ve signed up for Girl Scout’s where they sung kumbaya. However, it was far too late for that now.

Oh again with the light, apparently these children had never realized that only made to draw all the nasty things to you. The girl walked through the forest like she was unhindered,oh what a foolish child navigating this forest wouldn’t be that simple. Around her the trees groaned in anger at her attitude, they would not be ignored. Soon roots began making their way up through the Earth, one quickly snared her ankle and jerked her off her feet before releasing her. Seeing her fall gave all of the trees a bit of satisfaction, perhaps she would pay heed to them from now on. Although she couldn’t expect to be successful if she just kept bumbling about the forest hoping for something to happen, there were far too many bad things that would happen if she did that. Not to mention it would surely be much worse if she waited for it to find her as opposed to seeking the danger out. Besides, wasn’t the point to complete the task given to you? She’d never get out if she waited around for it to come to her. If she was paying attention, which she likely wasn’t, she would’ve noticed the white blur again but she was probably too busy pretending nothing bad was about to happen to her.

The trees were growing thick now and the underbrush seemed more gnarled here then in the surrounding areas. In the distance a noise started so quietly at first that your subconscious just ignored it but it was growing, suddenly it was so pronounced you wonder how you even missed it. It was the ticking of a grandfather clock, just hearing it was slightly oppressive like it was important and should mean something to you but you couldn’t remember what or why it was important. Ahead of you off to the left again you caught sight of the white blur from before, was it something alive? Before you could make sense of anything your attention was shifted elsewhere when an awful shrieking sound pierced the air, forcing you to your knees and to cover your ears out of fear they may bleed if you did. What could make such an awful sound, and why would they put you in a forest with it?

Recovery from such a screech would surely take some time, hopefully you thought about investing in some ear plugs after that. Ahead by the hollow of a tree you could barely make out a hole, and it drew you to it for some reason. You knew you had to get to it so you could go forward, taking a step forward you were suddenly jerked back by an invisible force. Surely your tailbone was going to be a little sore now and had you bumped your head? Looking back towards the tree you saw something white there again. Was that a rabbit? Oh dear lord, why was he wearing a waistcoat? As quickly as he was there he vanished again, certainly you must have hit your head harder than you thought when the force grabbed you. The screech echoed off to your right and in came a mostly indistinguishable shape, all you could make out was the flapping of cloth in the breeze. Coming forward the shape quickly pulled a sword from it’s robes. ”Foolish Child you never should’ve entered my domain. I will be your undoing.” The creature charged, it’s skill with the blade clear. A thought entered the back of your mind as if almost placed there, perhaps the hole could save you.

Nana knows that she should be brave when dealing something in a situation like this. She finally convinced her mind and heart to be strong. “All right, Nana. You can do it.” When there’s slightly a chance for Nana to walk forward, a ghostly whisper is not really helpful, not at all. “Go away! I’m not afraid of you!” she said with a loud voice; don’t really care to whom she yelled to. Then, she thinks she makes a mistake, a terrible mistake. Is she thought whatever ‘thing’ out there will just go away if she yelled? That’s not how things worked. She knows that very well yet still doing that. Why?

The air becomes chilly. Nana turned around to decide what path she should take. Left? No, there’s an underbrush and briars. Going to the right? It not even takes a second to Nana to decide because she can only see the trees. The darkness at the back? Not even a chance, Nana knows well about darkness. There’s the nastiest thing lives. So, she guesses the only path she can walk is forward. “It’s okay, just walked forward.” She continues her walk in the eerie forest. The smell is not really good too. ‘Oh, Nana. What do you expect? The scent of the flower? A sweet fruity scent? Don’t be ridiculous.’ She mad at herself for thinking something so dumb like that. Where’s her rational side? It’s nowhere to be found. Being alone really make her heart scream from inside. She feels like want to cry again but she barely holds up. It’s just make thing worst.

Nana cautiously steps forward, looking around then look up at the tree and look around again, make sure there’s no threat come in the way. She barely comes to her sense when she makes sure there’s nothing move (at least for now), and that will not last for a long time. She failed to sense that something moves around her feet. The nervousness makes everything hidden from the eyes. “Arghh!” the scream was so loud. Nana almost sure she will die in an instant. No one will remember her. No one will feel sad. She just a burden. She can’t help to feel miserable. But… She knows that no one will die, or at least that her heart wants to believe. Nana fell after ‘something’ grabbed her ankle and automatically her wand dropped and the light come off, leaving only the darkness around. Her face is a mess right now, full of dirt as she fell flat on her face, almost sure there’s blood running from her nose. Is her nose break? She doesn't think so. She looked at the thing that tripped her, it turned out to be a root? Suddenly she remembered her Herbology class and that’s not helping at all. That thing at greenhouse tried to kill her! She never wants to remember that again. Ever! She looked at the tree and yelled, “That’s not funny!” She’s mad. Finally, the sweet Nana was gone though the phobia still there. “You….” She feels like want to curse but decided not to do that. Arguing with trees is not something she should do, at least not when she’s in her right mind.

Being alone still make her feel anxious but she must end this journey that she picked by herself. ‘Serve you right, Nana! You think this kind of event can make you feel better and can cure your phobia? Then, you are wrong!’ Her heart scream. The forest feels incredibly awful. There’s a foul aura she feels. She’s carefully searching for her wand in the dark. It’s been a while, maybe five minutes for her to get her wand back. She sighed. ‘Okay, let’s go.’ This time, she’s not using Lumos and just carefully walked like a blind people walked, slowly and cautiously. Not wanting the same incident with the roots happen again and it helps for her eyes to adapt to the surroundings. Also, with the help of the dim light from the moon, she feels more secure. Weird.

The more she walked, the more she noticed that the trees were growing thick. The underbrush becomes so gnarled. Nana stopped. She was wondering what that sound that she heard? Since when that sound started? It’s like becoming louder from time to time. “A clock?” Nana questioned herself. How is that even possible that in the thick and deadly forest has the sound of the ticking clock? That does not make sense at all. “Come on!” she said. “Is this what you wanted, Nana? Trapped in the forest all by yourself? Imagine something that’s not even there?” it’s more like a rhetoric question for the result of her frustration. Then, maybe this ticking sound is the key for something important but she doesn’t really know what. She was thinking about some spell she should use when there’s emergency when she noticed some white blur on her left. Is that the same blur like what she saw before? Is it not?

The deafening shrieking sound makes Nana automatically cover her ears and her legs feel weak. She finally sits down at the nearest log she saw, don’t even care about something else might appear. The noise was so loud. Whatever makes that noise, Nana was sure it’s not a friendly ‘thing’. Her fright comes again. The nasty feeling hunted her mind once again. The face of her parents and the happy moment come before her very eyes. “That’s not it… that’s not it…” she mumbled. “Don’t afraid, Nana. There’s always a way for you.” She tried to comfort herself though this time might not work. She thought if the start of this journey is this scary, can she survive until the end?. She tried to gather all the strength that left. The journey becomes unbelievably long. ‘Where’s the end of this path?’ and ‘What is the task again?’. This two question wandering in Nana’s mind. She just hopes all of this nightmare will come to an end sooner.

Hey! A white blur is there again! ‘What is that?’ Nana was frustrated with all of this. She doesn’t like the feeling of curiousness and she wants to know what is that white blur is. It looks like some kind of rabbit… but with a waistcoat? ‘You’ve got to be kidding me…’ Nana already exhausted having a fight with her own sane mind. It’s not like all of this is sane. Even the fact that she's studying at Hogwarts itself is a crazy fact. At this time, she gives up and just believes what she saw. If the rabbit wearing a waistcoat, then… yeah, the rabbit is wearing a waistcoat. No arguing. Nana can spot a hole in the tree. “A hole?” Nana let out a laugh. It’s more like a crazy laugh. Being alone in this forest for a long time really make her becoming a different Nana. Is this also just in her mind? She feels in need to comfort herself by being someone else, braver than her. It is one of the way to her for defending herself in an unexpected situation.

‘All right, let’s see where this hole will take me.’ Nana was going straight to the hole when something grabbed her and she fell again. It’s hurt badly that she thought she hurt her tailbone. But it’s like it just fine and she feels a little bit dizzy. Probably she hit her head when she fell earlier. She sighed. This is not funny anymore. Is there even a ‘funny’ term to begin with? She saw the rabbit again. If this is just her mind trying to trick her, she will not feel sane anymore. She chose to believe what she saw and attempt to enter the hole again. The screeched echoed from the right in a possible unpleasant way. She thought she’s going to be deaf. She can imagine herself learning sign language and annoyed people as much as she can. First on the list is the Headmaster, Professor Rousseau. That… is weird. She surely not in her right mind right now. How can she even think about that?

Nana was trying to see what the ‘thing’ that grabbed her earlier. The creature suddenly pulled a sword. That was frightened her. For a second, she doesn't even move an inch. She just stared at the creature with fear. ‘Oh my god. Am I going to die just like this?’ Her tears just come out for the second time. This time, it’s just quick and fast tears. It stops as fast as its start. Then, Nana thinking that the only thing that could save her is the hole. She holds her wand tightly and… “Everte Statum” she cast the spells towards the creature without the guaranteed that the spell will work. She quickly makes her way to the tree and jumps into the hole. Not even looking back to make sure that creature not following her. It’s so dark in there and she can just hope this crazy stuff will end very soon… Or at least that's what she hope...

There was much more to this competition then winning, and if the competitors hadn’t discovered that by now then there probably wasn’t much hope of them figuring it out ever. Every bit of them was about to be tested and as cliche as it sounded only the strong were going to survive, even then they were going to discover they weren’t as impenetrable as they thought. That wasn’t to say those who had been selected weren’t worthy of taking part in this challenge, just inevitably like the rest of life some were going to be better suited at this than others but even the most unlikely person could surprise everyone. This was the beginning of a journey for the majority of them and how they faired was completely up to them, well for the most part it was but they had to know that when they signed up for such madness.

Nana’s annoyance at what was happening to her was evident in her behavior, however it seemed she was beginning to get slightly more realistic about what was going to happen to her during this endeavour. Although one really did have to wonder about the poor girl’s sanity as she did an awful lot of conversing with herself during this whole thing, perhaps St. Mungo’s needed to have a bed pre-prepared for the girl. Apparently she thought something was funny or had already gone mad given her laughter, and if she was already mad then god help her during the rest of this thing because that would mean she would only struggle more. Funny how some people completely changed when you threw them into an uncertain or unknown situation, it gave you a chance to discover who they truly were. Then again this experience was likely going to teach her more about herself than she ever cared to know, how she used that knowledge was totally up to her. Her spell hit surprisingly true to it’s mark and sent the Nazgul flying backwards, giving her the proper chance to flee.

Piercing red eyes stared at you as you approached the hole, the rabbit was obviously disgruntled with your lack of haste in this matter. Honestly he had much better things to do then follow you around like some glorified babysitter, he was seriously beginning to question how intelligent you actually were. He was neither impressed by the fact you hadn’t found the hole without being led directly to it as well as the fact you hadn’t managed to avoid being caught in the traps of the forest as you got herded. ”You stupid child, this took you far too long. It’ll be your skin now.” The rabbit snarled, yellow teeth smiling at you. You were taking far too long to get into the hole so the impatient creature bent over and shoved you, though you got caught on the edges of the hole. ”Gluttonous child, far too many sweets.” He hissed. Giving your bum a good hard kick you came free of whatever was holding you and went tumbling into the abyss.

At first it seemed like a normal hole you were falling in, tree roots and soil decorated the wall with an occasional bug or snake but the further you fell the stranger things became. It started with a rusty desk lamp that had a broken globe and then several other pieces of furniture began to appear, unfortunately they were all broken and in disarray. Rusty nails were sticking out of the wall several inches and you were most certain to get caught on some, hopefully you were up to date on your tetanus shot. The clutter of broken furniture grew and you almost certainly got injured on the various bits scattered around the tight hole. Suddenly you got caught on the hands of a grandfather clock, the hands seemed to snag your clothes for some reason even though they were clearly razor sharp. After some struggling and certainly cuts you considered you plunge downwards ricocheting between the walls. A quick bounce off the mattress you crash through a white and black tiled ceiling and splatter on the floor. After gathering yourself up you stand up to take stock of the room, oh dear is that a chandelier next to you? A moment too late you realize you’re actually on the ceiling and go tumbling to the floor again, the real floor this time. You appear to be in some sorts of bedroom, presumably in a house, and the only door is locked.

Nana was too scared to look back. She managed to enter the hole before she got caught on the edges of the hole, leaving her in panic. The rabbit with the red eyes that she saw earlier was there and he doesn’t seem friendly either. Not really the one that she can call ‘friend’. “Hey! I’m not stup…” before she can even finish her sentence, the rabbit kicked her into the hole. “Wait!” The loud voice didn’t help Nana from falling. The rabbit kick her! That freaking rabbit! Nana can’t even believe herself anymore. That’s not the event that you can see every day. Being kicked by a rabbit is the least thing she wanted. Well, at least it will save her from the scary cloak creature.

She was screaming as she falls down. Like being attacked by some creature is not enough, now she must experience the same feeling when someone jump off the cliff. She felt want to throw up and quickly cover her mouth with one hand while the other hand tightly grip the wand. She can feel the tree roots and soil as she falling down. The unpleasant bugs also catch her off guard. “Urgh…” she whining while her hand tried to get rid the bugs off from her cloth. Before she knew it, the roots were gone and she saw a broken piece of random things. ‘Now what?’ She was looking at the broken piece as she feels the stinging on her skin. She was certainly sure that will leave a bruise or some scar on her skin as she squeezed her eyes shut, try not thinking about that.

After a ‘long’ journey down the hole, Nana got caught on the hands of a grandfather clock. She still shut her eyes for a few minutes before she gathered her strength back and slowly opened her eyes, expecting something scary was there. She finally realized where she is when she started struggling to get off of the clock and a few new cuts ‘lovingly’ appear on her skin. She bounced off a mattress and go straight to the white and black tiles. It surely hurts but still bearable. She spotted an ornate glass and crystal like. ‘Is that a chandelier?’ she asked herself and that when she realized that she’s on the ceiling and for a split second, tumbling to the real floor.

Grabbing her wand, Nana stands up and looked around. It’s looked like some sort of bedroom. She checked every corner in the room to see if there have any clues about where she is but it’s still not helping at all. The only way to get out of there is using the door and it’s locked. Nana was searching for the key like crazy, searching through one stuff into the other before she realized she has a wand! “Oh… my… god…” she can’t believe she turned into an idiot already. This is why you should not trust a Muggleborn student with a difficult task. They can easily forget about the crucial thing. It’s not that long after she entered this EHC. Surely, the craziness can force someone into a difficult situation. She sighed and go to the door. “Alohomora!” She waited, hoping the door will be open... if that can be this easy…

To say getting out of the bedroom was the easy part was an understatement, there was so much more left to do in this quaint house. Okay so perhaps it wasn’t such a quaint house, one really couldn’t tell from the inside with minimal decor and it wasn’t like you could see out the windows to see what it was like outside. Even if you did manage to get the shades up after a great struggle all you would see is complete darkness with no disconcernable shapes so it wouldn’t be helpful to peek outside would it. Besides it was highly unlikely given what had happened so far that you were in any place that was good, and if it had looked nice outside it was likely only a trick to lull you into a false sense of security. Tricks like that were effective though, they often distracted you from something that was important and that you should’ve been paying attention to. The door swung open at your spell and revealed an average, albeit dirty, set of stairs that descended at a normal angle. As you were making your way down the stairs you were suddenly thundered over by the rabbit, he took no care of what bits of you he stepped on. ”Ruining my home and setting us behind. How did I get stuck with such an imbecile?” He spat angrily at you. The last you saw of the creature was his coat tails as he disappeared through the wall. Of course being magical you know how barriers like this work.

Stepping through was easy, you entered a new room that has a rancid smell and it takes a moment to notice your surroundings because the stench is so bad. How could the rabbit live in a dump like this? Broken furniture and filth was everywhere, not to mention nothing was sturdy. Speaking of sturdy the stair you now stood on crumbled causing you to roll down into the heap of trash at the bottom and god knows what else, oh you’re definitely going to need a shower now and to pray you don’t get some sort of deadly disease from all this filth. Actually, it was probably best you got a booster on all your shots as a precaution. Standing up you catch sight of a ratty desk in the corner and catch a glimpse of the rabbit disappearing out a door. Approaching it and leaving to follow your “friendly” rabbit should be simple right? Unfortunately after several tries it is apparent Alohomora won’t open this door, in fact the last time you tried the knob it bit your hand. ”Okay dumbass, I’m clearly locked. Try and turn me one more time without unlocking me and it’ll be your finger next time. Besides your arse is far too big to fit through me right now Fecker. Maybe you should consider a diet.” The knob sprouted sourly at you. Oh dear locked, that meant you must find the key.

Turning around you get the distinct feeling something in the room has changed but you can’t put your finger on it until you look over the room again three more times. That Raven wasn’t on the ratty desk earlier, or was it and you didn’t realize it? Either way the bird was watching you suspiciously so you better be careful eh? Now where in the world would the key be hidden in this room? Why did a rabbit live in such squalor anyways? It obviously wasn’t sanitary but then again he didn’t seem to care much about that kind of thing given his yellow teeth. Better start digging for that key, and how were you going to fit through that door? Oh well you’d think about that when the time came. All was good and well until you noticed there was no longer just one door in the room, there were probably more like a dozen now of various shapes and sizes. All required different keys, which one would get you out of here? The sound of the ticking clock sounded in the distance again faintly, looked like you better make haste.

An awful screeching sound could be heard overhead, dear god what now? A giant eagle could be seen circling you overhead, and before you could take a moment it’s giant talons were headed right for you. Scrambling as much as you could you tried to escape the eagle but very quickly after you started your escape giant talons encased you. You flew through the air before the bird dropped suddenly, a few feet away it released you and you landed like a sack of potatoes. Standing up you took a deep breathe trying to get air back in your lungs where it belonged, though you were quickly overtaken by a cloud of choking smoke that made you feel lightheaded and almost high.

It took a few minutes by the smoke finally cleared revealing the inside of the arena and the crowd erupted into cheers, by god you were finally finished! ”All participants will report to the Hospital Wing to be given treatment by Healer Lufkin. This is not optional. Well done!” Boomed Emile’s voice. Shortly after a few staff members entered the arena and escorted you back to the castle, past the screaming and cheering crowd.
